Choosing Adventure is a lifestyle.
Choosing Adventure is a community of travelers who are passionate about taking life head-on and inspiring others to do the same. At Choosing Adventure, we hope to inspire you to get outside of YOUR comfort zone, whatever that may be, one "adventure" at a time. This lifestyle is about not only taking an active role in your life, but engaging the world, and enjoying the path that follows.
Whether you're longing to taste the freedom of flight, or attempting to overcome the fear of flight. Dreaming of driving the Panamerican Highway, or attempting to cross your first bridge...literally; the definition of "adventure" will be different for all. We know the time will never be just right; the weather will never be ideal; and who has all the expendable income they need? But if the opportunity for an adventure presents itself, half the work is already done.
This change isn't overnight, but the decision to pursue it is. With some time (and luck) a proposal that may have seemed absurd only six months ago, will only warrant a "why not?". So please, get outside of your comfort zone...you're ready.
WHO I AM
I'm Thomas Booth, and I hate my comfort zone.
As a former member of the United States Military, predictability has always been a luxury I couldn’t afford. After nine years in the military, I was able to embark on an open-ended, extremely limited itinerary, of foreign countries that were not at war. After four months and 13,000 miles around South America, I felt as though I had just completed a final exam for life. I needed to utilize nearly every school, life lesson, and skill I was ever taught; and after four months, I arrived safely on the other side, life affirmed.
Although I felt as though I passed my final exam, this journey still left me wanting. Wanting this affirmation for others. This may not come from completing my journey, or the journey of others, but it will come from leaving the nest and finding yourself capable. My new journey, and that of others, is to inspire you to complete yours.
